We're in the processing of redecorating our condo. And the color scheme is well neutral, gold, turquoise, and all things mahogany. I need some new placemats for our table and right now everything I'm looking at is either to pricey or too fussy. I'm looking for something neutral, beautiful, simple, and preferably cloth cotton or linen. Any ideas or suggestions? I really like Dwellshop.com placemat in flora and sketch, but the price is out of my budget. I've seen Dwell at Target and while its pretty it just feels disposable.

I love your colors!!!
1I'd recommend going to JCPenny.com right now
They're having a semi annual sale and they have such a great selection of home accents and decor. I bought 3 really nice rugs for our condo for under $200, and that includes shipping, handling and tax.
I got some really cute ones at CB2 (Crate and Barrel 2) that were very reasonably priced, and cute!
2Check out a TJMaxx or a Marshall's. They have great prices!
3I have a lot of turquoise things in my house too, and I found some great placemats at pier1!
4If i go Bargain shopping I normally find some.
5LA's Vintage, Flea Markets, or bargain shops are fabulous.
I like the idea of woven (straw, reed, wood or something similar) placemats because you can easily shake them out and if someone spills on one, you can easily rinse off and drip dry and not have to iron! Our 14 yr-old son can leave a placemat quite messy, so the straw-like placemats have been great. I've seen them stained dark at Pier 1. They would be a great backdrop to your dishes without competing!
