2 summers ago my husband and I set out on a major redesign project that will [eventually] encompass every room in our home. Among the rooms that we have been able to finish is the master bedroom. It's so much work and I really did not want to let it go until last.
I only wish I had "before" photos to share with you. The room was very very beige, with a ratty wall-to-wall carpet that had seen much better days. Once that was torn up we sanded the hard wood floors by hand and sealed them. Painted, hung the crown molding, and ran the drapes. I added comments to the photos with other details and particulars. We are both very pleased with the result.

3Thanks so much, ladies! I'm really proud of how the house is turning out. I design and my husband executes. But - if he doesn't soon get back to that execution I'm bringing someone in. Actually it'll be a lot of someones. We have a lot of work.
DCStar... Thank you twice. I should shoot a closeup of that. There are mini photo prints embedded in some of the the windows of the buildings. They're from a B&E from when they began phase one of the destruction of the Bethlehem Steel. That's a story in and of itself. Really.

13I actually ended going to a professional plumbing supply store to purchase the hardware for hanging. It's simply a silver channel that allows the pre-fitted hooks to slide freely. The channel itself was custom cut and engineered from the supplier to fit this room. The drapes hang from the ceiling and puddle a bit on the floor.
Very nice artwork and the lamp is just orginal.
