This is a picture of my homeroom. Since I stay in an apartment with my folks and share a room with my sister, my 'workplace' is the next best place where I let my creativity and personality shine through. My students love my room, and it is inviting and comfortable.
The purple full length curtains are from IKEA.
I recently painted the Keith Herring mural at the back of the room, it makes the overall mood so lively, just like my students.
I also added mirror balls of various sizes on the ceiling, to make the place look fun, because learning should be fun.
And the wallpaper at the back is another popart type of design. I love the colour purple and black so everything in this classroom is along those colours!

This is wonderfully enticing and I can easily how your students could feel at home here. I wish all teachers could share your enthusiasm and take 50% of the interest in their students that you're demonstrating here.
1I agree with studio, that's awesome you did that for your students! Most teachers just don't care that much.
2cos my school runs on a homeroom system - most teachers do try to spice up their rooms, but i wanted my room to reflect myself and be unique, and also to make my kids feel like they are in a fun place to study.
3i love it..did you freehand the mural?
4well, i have a projector, and i was able to enlarge the original image (A4) into whatever size i want (depending on how far the projector is from the wall). then i traced the outlines with a pencil, and just painted the lines.
5So cute! Love it!
6I love it!
7That's fantastic!
8that's wonderful retail! so lively and happy without being childish, just beautiful

Don't worry 'bout a ting!
What a wonderful learning environment! My last year of high school, they finally started letting our teachers paint their walls and add decorations. None of them had anything like this, though! What age students do you teach?

11that is awesome. i love the purple coloring.
12I love your classroom! School is better than home for some kids, so I always tried to make my classroom as homey as possible. I am sure your kids love it!!!
13That is awesome! You should have decorated my class rooms!
14Excellent job! You're obviously enthusiastic about your job. Those kids are lucky to have you.
15Very nice. I love that color of purple!
16what a cool classroom, I love purple
17how cute!
18I love your classroom! I wish I could do something like that.
19Congratulations!!! I'm a high school teacher, but in my country we don't have one class room to work all day, we are changing from one room to another every 50 minutes. We could never give our touch to the classrooms.
20You did a great work!! It's very important for students and for us to work in a warm and comfortable place.
Thanks for the comments, I had a fun time doing it up as much as working in it too.
My students' age range from 13 - 16, and they learn english and literature in my classes.
21Wow!! That is so cool!!! You did a fantastic job. A+ on that project
22This is ridiculous...in a really good way.
23I wish my school would have let our teachers do this back in the day. Maybe I would have stayed awake in homeroom!
24that's really amazing!
25I may actually look forward to school if it looked like this...a chic club in SoHo.
26wow, such a contrast to the hospital-room type classrooms I had back in high school. nice work.
27Great job retail!!!! I'm very impressed!
28Thanks!!
29This is the first time I have ever seen a classroom decorated to this level. Just by looking at it, I want to come sit in your homeroom and learn. I LOVE IT! TeamSugar is right, I wish you could have decorated my classrooms!
