With the winter quickly approaching, I thought I would share one of my favorite houseplants with you. Pictured here is the Peace Lily. The Peace Lily is a low light plant, which means it doesn't need direct sunlight. The white blooms happen from spring to summer, so this plant is nearing the end of the blooming season. The foliage looks amazing all year. All it needs is watering about once a week...they will start to look droopy when they get dry. It's best to pick a day that you can water once a week. If you fertilize during the blooming season with an ordinary houseplant food, that will help the blooming process.
I have two others like this. Both are over seven years old!

I don't see a picture.
1Look again, my little friend!
2I like the peace lilly but they always die on me.
3Redhot---girl we are too much alike I have the same plant in my house--
4Scary, isn't it redhot?
5Mominator, what do you think is the problem? I had one I literally couldn't kill! Maybe I have a lucky green thumb!
6I have a black thumb. I kill everything. I love the devil potho ivy and I kill those. I definitely do not have a green thumb. My sister inherited the green thumb. She can get anything to grow. I love plants but they do not love me back.
7It is really pretty!I have cats so no plants
8for me, plus I kill them all too! Just not
a big indoor plant person I guess.
Yeah, you have to be careful with pets. Luckily, my dogs don't bother my inside plants!
9This is pretty......But I kill everything that lives inside my home! I'm good if it's outside....just can't bring anything in!
10I have one just like it, but mine is about nine years old and much bigger. I am the mother, so I guess I must have a green thumb also.
11I have one that someone brought me when I had my first daughter three years ago. We live in Houston so I planted it outside and it is doing great! It tolerates the summer heat well and didn't wilt once last winter (well the season that we call winter that doesn't go below 60)
12Quickthinker, I really doesn't need much but watering once a week and some plant food during the spring and summer once a month! Really easy, and always looks nice!
