I had a very hard time deciding what color scheme to go with in here. I just wanted to find some nice bedding and then I went from there. I had initially bought some pink and brown bedding from Carter's, but I did not like the quality of the materials and the pink was a bit on the cool side. Plus I had not too many options on the colors for the wall, it would have had to be pink and I did not want that. I also did not want yellow walls because I did not think it would look good with the furniture we had. We found this colorful bedding at Pottery Barn Kids and I liked the many color choices we had! My wonderful mother in law painted the entire room and the details to match the bedding.
Here is the finished product which took me a while to get used to, but I really do like it now. It's not "perfect" but it's different and unique from things I've seen. The curtains added a lot to the room once we put them up.
