I got these for graduation in June... I just repotted them because they were outgrowing their baby pot. One day, I'm going to be one of those old ladies with a million different colored orchids around her house.

It's a feat trying to grow these guys, though. I don't know how many of you have tried, but they need "filtered" sunlight, a humid atmosphere and dry leaves. I had to search hard to find the perfect spot for them... now the sit on my bedroom window sill because I realized that the spot never gets direct sunlight!
Anyway, this is one of my favorite parts of my room. I hope you like it too

lovely! I have tried to grow orchids several times, but I always fail.
1beautiful! I should try to grow orchids, but I probably wouldn't do so well.
2good job!!! very beautiful
3I also, love orchids! However do think they are perhaps one of the hardest to keep alive after they have bloomed. Make sure you don't put them into big of pots as they might go into shock. Since in nature they typically grow on the side of a tree or in very little to no soil. Also it is key to fertilize them as well. I throughly water mine probably once a week and mist them every couple of days just to make sure they are happy.
After many tries, trust me many tries, I am finally starting to get the hang of it.
Great picture!!!!
4---love those flowers
