Hey peeps. My sorority sister is giving me and old chair with a footstool. I want to reupholster it so it'll look like acute earthy pottery barn type chair and stool. I have never done such a thing, but I'm pretty crafty so I am sure I can do it.
Tell me how!
Where can I get fabric? (websites and stores) I live in Atlanta. Thanks for your help in advance.
The image is similar to the actual chair.

Any Joann's store will have fabric for you to reupholster with. They're everywhere!
There's also Lewis & Sharon's and Forsyth Fabrics. They're both (kind of) Downtown. If you're coming from the North, just hop on 75-S and they're off of the exit right before 75 and 85 merge. These are HUGE warehouses of fabrics. It's easy to get overwhelmed with the selection but it's well worth it.
There's also a cute fabric store in the Decatur/Druid Hills area called In Town Quilters. It's right by North Dekalb Mall. They have a lot of modern fabrics that would be cute but they're pretty lightweight.
1I get all my fabric from Ebay. You'll first need to know how much you'll need. Look for an online chart that can give you an estimate, then go shopping on ebay. I have gotten "to the trade only" fabric on ebay for one-fifth less, or even better.
That tufted back won't be easy...it's not a first project I would recommend. Maybe look for an upholstery class/workshop in your area. Usually for class they let you bring your piece to work on, and you get the opportunity to get help/advice from the teacher!
