Before & After - my Swedish Mora clock do over - I hope I don't regret it but it needed an update

I was really nervous about re painting this antique clock but there was so much varnish/paint on it that it would have been too difficult to sand out so I took a risk with some spray paint (3 cans) of "heirloom white" and I think it turned out nice!

Thanksgiving Table

Just a couple of pics from past Thansgivings, we're pretty informal in general so it's nice to dress things up a bit. It's always about family, friends, and of course food!!

Before and After: Boring China Cabinet to Fabulous Bookcase

Su Casa member LittleLeo recently transformed a dated china cabinet into a fabulous bookcase: We inherited this piece from a friend who was getting a new dining room set. My husband couldn't understand why I wanted the cabinet and not the dining table too. I explained I had a vision for my home office.

HELP! The paint needs to be chosen by Wednesday!

>Hi Reader, I have been a voyeur at this site for quite some time and as such I have come to respect your design vision.  I need your help ASAP!  I recently experienced some water damage to my 1942 custom bungalow.  As a result the wonderful insurance company has come through and has agreed to re-install new hardwood floors in my dining room and living room, paint the entire kitchen (including cabinets) laundry room, dining room, living room and to install a new kitchen floor.  My problem is choosing paint color for my rooms!  I am so overwhelmed with all the options I have been researching.  I am posting pictures in the gallery and hopefully here too but it is difficult to get a feel for the space because there is no furniture or art or anything personal in the rooms!  So I guess I had better give you some idea what our idea of a comfortable space looks like.  We are eclectic in our tastes.  Mixed antiques and modern midcentury pieces are scattered about.  I collect Shag prints, which are bold and bright with lots of oranges and greens.  I also collect tikis but HATE the beachy thing.  My husband is an airbrush artist and tends toward bold deep color.  Now the house.  We have 8 foot ceiling in the living area and dining area with coved ceilings and curved walls.  I am installing recessed lighting in all three rooms.  The red kitchen island that sits in the dining room in the pictures obviously belongs in the kitchen and well be painted as well.  Lots of nooks and crannies and built in cabinets and bookcases scattered about.  Give it your best shot!  HELP me pick some amazing paint color and I will post the finished result for your viewing pleasure!  P.S.  I am looking for a chesterfield sofa for the living room in what I envision to be olive green leather.  Any ideas?  Here is a link to the Flicker site for some pics!  http://www.flickr.com/photos/44249767@N05/?saved=1

DIY: Green Shelves

I had fallen in love with these CB2 shelves, I wasn't keen on that exact color but I loved the shape. I debated on buying two and repainting them but at $200 a piece that was a little more than I was willing to spend. So I started my search for a shelving unit that would work on this extra large wall of mine.

Help!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but here it goes. . .

Target Fabric Crossover Part II

As seen in this post, Target's new line of slipper chairs has been "inspired" by some pricey bedding from Nieman Marcus.  But that's not the only decor company with whom Target chairs share design! Check out this chair from Target, then these pillow from Grandin Road: Avington Slipper Chair Zoe Pillows :-D
